Year 6 Summer School 2024
Monday, 19th - Thursday, 22nd August 2024
We are excited to welcome students currently in Year 6 who will be joining us as Year 7s in September 2024 to our annual Summer School on Monday, 19th August 2024.
Students will have the opportunity to experience Harper life and take part in fun and exciting activities before the new school year begins at our annual Summer School from Monday, 19th to Thursday, 22nd August 2024.
Throughout the week, you'll have the chance to:
- Get to know our amazing staff
- Make new friends
- Experience life at Harper Green School before the new school year begins
- Take part in challenges and engaging activities throughout the week.
Places are limited and must be registered in advance.
Timings for the week
- Monday: 9:30 – 14:30
- Tuesday: 9:30 – 14:30
- Wednesday: 9:30 – 14:30
- Thursday: 10:00 – 14:00 (Please take note of the change in time)
Please bring your child to the main reception entrance at the front of the school for the correct start time each day.
Your child will be dismissed from school via the main reception at the end of each day. Please make arrangements to collect your child outside of the school site or for them to make their own way home. Please ensure your child knows what arrangements have been made.
Catering/Food Arrangements
Both snacks at break time and food at lunch time will be provided every day. Our catering staff have taken into account any dietary requirements specified.
If your child would prefer to bring their own lunch, then they are more than welcome to do so.
Colour Run – Wednesday, 21st August
If your child is attending Summer School on Wednesday, we have planned for all our Summer School students to take part in a Colour run. This is a super fun activity for the students; however, it does involve them being covered in a dust paint.
A letter of consent will be handed to your child on the first day of Summer school, so if you would like your child to participate please return the letter no later than Wednesday 21st August.
Photograph Consent
Throughout the week we will be taking photographs of the students enjoying the activities they are participating in which may be shared on our social media platforms.
If you do not want your child to be in the photographs – please respond to this email.
