Free Bicycle Wash and Service for National Cycle to School Week
Friday, 3rd October 2025
As part of National Cycle to School Week (23rd–26th September), Mr Walsh and Mr Tyson ran a free bicycle wash and service for our students. The event aimed to promote cycling as a fun, healthy and eco-friendly way to travel to school, while making sure everyone’s bikes were in great condition for the journey.
Throughout the week, students brought their bikes in for a quick check and clean, learning a few basic maintenance tips along the way. It was fantastic to see so many students taking part and showing an interest in looking after their bikes.
We’re also encouraging students to choose at least one day a week to cycle to school , a small but positive step towards reducing our carbon footprint, staying active and starting the day in a healthy way.
A big thank you to Mr Walsh and Mr Tyson for organising such a practical and enjoyable initiative and well done to all the students who got involved in Cycle to School Week 2025.
