Celebrating World Book Day 2026

Students and staff came together today to celebrate World Book Day, with a range of activities taking place across the school to promote a love of reading.
Staff dressed up in costumes inspired by different genres, from fantasy and science fiction to romance, horror and non-fiction, bringing favourite books and characters to life around the school.
Students also took part in a whole-school quiz, where they were challenged to identify key characters and match them to the staff members representing them, sparking plenty of curiosity and conversations throughout the day.
Across the school, lessons included a range of reading-themed activities, helping to encourage students to explore new books and celebrate the enjoyment of reading.
World Book Day provided a fantastic opportunity to celebrate stories and imagination. It was wonderful to see students and staff across our school community coming together to take part.
