Harper Green Warriors

Over the last year, Paul and Janice Smith from North West Warriors have been coming into school once a week to work with various pupils in Years 7-9. The sessions run one afternoon a week for half a term and each half term's group have a different focus.
For example, we have had a group to improve self esteem, a group that needed to work on strategies to improve their anger and certain groups that have taken part because they have been rewarded for their good behaviour or academic achievement. Next half term the group will be a self defence group for girls. We also run groups that are Year 7 only to help them settle in to the demands of secondary school.
Each week a child is rewarded with Student of the Week for special effort or achievement.
Work is also done with Learning for Life Pupils who are working towards accreditation and will achieve a red belt at the end of their six weeks. Any child coming on a visit to Harper Green will also get the chance to sample a session and see the kinds of experiences that we offer at Harper Green School.
If you would like to take part see your Year team for more details.
