In-take Evening Information

Parental interest and support is also vital to our young people’s success. An Intake Evening is held in the July before pupils start at Harper Green, where parents and pupils will meet the staff and find out more about the school. Our home/school contract encourages parents and teachers to work together to help pupils make the most of the opportunities available to them. As well as Parents’ Evenings and reports, parents are kept fully informed about their children’s progress, and about school events, through the Newspaper, the School Magazine, phone calls and letters. Each pupil also has a journal to make day to day communication even easier. The ‘Reading At Home Scheme’ also involves parents in their children’s learning. An active School Association organises events and fundraising activities. In addition, parents may make appointments by telephone whenever necessary.

Parental Visits

Parents who wish to consider sending their child to the school are most welcome to visit or take a tour at a time suitable to them. They are invited to contact the school (01204 572941/574991) so that arrangements can be made. Tours are scheduled for September and October 2013.
