Harper Green BBC School Report

Students from Harper Green have been making the news for real on 15 March 2012 as they take part in BBC News School Report.

This week, four Year 9 pupils have been busy working to produce a news item as part of “BBC School Report”. Bethany and Melissa became news reporters for a day, with Katie and Nicola taking on behind the scenes roles as camera operators and editors.

These pupils have spent the last few weeks practising their interviewing techniques and how to piece together a news report. Then, they spent a day working on one news story for a 3:20pm deadline- just like real broadcast journalists do.
